Edo NUJ Press Week Holds December 5



The 2025 Press Week of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo State Council, will hold on Friday, December 5, 2025, at the NUJ Press Centre, No. 1 Sir Gabriel Igbinedion Way, GRA, Benin City, beginning at 10:00 a.m.

In a statement signed by the Chairman of the Organising Committee, Comrade Efosa Uwangue, and the Secretary, Comrade Gloria Osuma, the union said the abridged programme was adopted in view of the council’s mourning period following the recent loss of two members.

The Press Week will feature lectures and awards of excellence to distinguished personalities.

Journalists in the state and other stakeholders are invited to attend the event.

Philanthropist Offers Scholarship To Secondary School Students In Ekiti  By Editor  A philanthropist, Dr Oluwadare Owolabi, has offered scholarships for students across some secondary schools in Ekiti State. The scholarships of N100,000 each were offered to the outstanding students in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Agricultural Science, Economics and Mathematics subjects across three schools.
