First 2026 Edo NUJ Congress: Rev. Akenbor Starts With Prayer Session

The founder and general overseer of God's Greater Grace General Assembly (GGGGA), Int'l Incorporated, Benin, Rev Sunny Akenbor has led the prayers session of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo State state council.

The prayer session was held at the union's secretariat to mark the first Congress of the year, 2026.

Akenbor who took the members of the union through various prayer sessions, prayed for the wellbeing of the practicing journalists in the state.

He prayed for the prosperity and longevity of life for all members of the union.

Earlier, the chairman of the council, Dr. Festus Alenkhe, said the prayer session was necessary adding that it was meant to commit all practicing journalists in the state into God's hands.

He said journalists need prayers in order to be able to carry out their civic duty of informing the public.

Dr. Alenkhe added that the prayer session began some years ago and it has yielded results and that all efforts will be made to sustain it.

Commending the leadership of the union for the yearly prayers session, Mrs. Favour Percy-Idubor said the importance of prayers cannot be overemphasized because of its benefits.

She further urged the leadership of the union to sustain it for the spiritual wellbeing of it members.
