Speaking to journalists in an interview after the match Edo Queens' manager Moses Aduku, said: "Well I have to thank God for this victory, I am happy my girls are back from the national camp, Ibom Angels are good side, we would have rap up the game in the first half, but all the same we got the three points which is the most important thing."

"We still have some work to do, we must continue to correct ourselves in the area we have not gotten it. We have a game next week against Rivers Angels, we are going with the same winning mentality. You know every team want to win especially those contesting the Super six ticket with us. So thank God we got the three points."

For Edwin Okon, he said: Well, this is not what we wanted, we planned for three points but we lost it. That is the game of football for you. We thank God there was no injuries, we have to go back and fortify the team for the second round."
