Edo 2024: Police Assures The Public Of Safety  ...Warns Troublemakers To Stay Away From Polling Units  Iduozee Efe Paul, Benin  As Edo people prepare to go to the poll to elect their next governor on Saturday September 21, 2024, the Nigeria Police Force has warned troublemakers to steer clear of the exercise, reassuring the public of unmatched security during and after the exercise. Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Frank Mba overseeing security for the election gave the warning and reassurance during a press conference at the state police Command headquarters, Benin City, today. The body also assured them that, any concern raised through the app will be taken up promptly and addressed with the appropriate authorities, added that, the SMARTRR has a unique feature that makes the person reporting anonimous, so there’s no fear of reprisal from perpetrators. Places 3rd With 19 Gold,15 Silver,28 Bronze Medals By Editor  It was a podium finish for Team Edo at the National Youth Games 'Asaba 2024' which ended on Thursday, September 19,2024 after garnering a total of 62 medals; 19 Gold,15 Silver and 28 Bronze medals to place 3rd on the medal table on the last day of event. Team Edo with their red and white traditional colours stood in the 3rd position on the podium and received the third best team award and honour during the closing ceremony of the event at the Stephen Keshi Stadium in Asaba. The Edo contingent concluded their participation in the 8th National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State, with an outstanding performance, as their athletics team won the  Gold medal in the 400°100M mixed relay.
