Oroh Indicates Interest To Run For House Of Rep Iduozee Efe Paul, Benin  A former member of the House of Representatives, Abdul Oroh, has called for immediate establishment of state police as a way to tackle insecurity at the local level. He also called for stronger institutions, job creation through agriculture and commerce, and better utilisation of natural resources to curb youth restiveness. Oroh made the call on Monday at Ivbiaro, Owan East LGA of Edo State, where he declared his intention to return to the National Assembly in next year’s national assembly election. Police Arrest Officers Over Alleged Extortion In Edo  Iduozee Efe Paul  Six serving police officers, including an Assistant Superintendent of Police and two inspectors, have been arrested over alleged harassment, abduction and extortion by operatives of the Edo State Police Command. Those arrested are a dismissed police corporal, two commercial bus drivers and a POS operator. The suspects were apprehended following sustained surveillance, technical intelligence and coordinated operations by the command. In a statement issued on Monday, the command’s spokesperson, Eno Ikoedem, said the operation was prompted by several complaints from members of the public.
