EDOGIS MD Urges Landowners, Investors To Pay Grand Rent,  Property Tax By  The Edo State Geographic Information Service (EDOGIS) has urged landowners and investors to promptly pay ground rent, property tax and other statutory land charges, saying compliance is essential to boosting the state's revenue and funding infrastructure, security and other critical public services. Managing Director of EDOGIS, Dr. Innocent Bello, made the appeal during an interactive session with journalists in Benin City, where he described land administration revenue as a key pillar for financing the state's development agenda. Peace Mass Transit Bus Gutted By Fire After Overheating Along Enugu Road By Editor  A Peace Mass Transit (PMT) bus was completely destroyed by fire after developing a mechanical fault along the Enugu Road axis near Thinkers Corner. According to eyewitnesses accounts, the 18-seater commercial bus began emitting thick smoke while in motion, prompting concerned passengers to alert the driver. The driver immediately pulled over by the roadside, allowing all passengers to safely disembark with their personal belongings. More so, the moments after everyone had evacuated the vehicle, the bus was engulfed in flames and was completely burnt beyond recognition. Luckly, no lives were lost and none of the passengers sustained any injuries in the incident, thanks to the driver’s swift response and the timely warning from passengers. The cause of the fire is believed to be overheating, although the exact circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be officially confirmed.

Pastor Of Baptist Church, Arrested For infecting 14-Year-Old With HIV By Editor  Pastor of St. James United American Free Will Baptist Church, Timothy Chaneyfield, has been arrested by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit at Orlando Airport. According to Sheriff Grady Judd, the 42-year-old Florida Pastor was placed on a watch after investigators received a cyber tip from Instagram about inappropriate activity between an adult and a child. Further talk with the victim, a 14-year-old boy, revealed that Chaneyfield allegedly picked up the boy from his neighbourhood three times, took him to his home and sexually abused him. The suspect also stated his desire, through a phone call, to continue this illicit relationship upon his return from Baltimore, where he went to preside over a funeral at Compassionate Care Hospice as an acting chaplain.
