THE ZESTFUL AZENA: A LEADERSHIP IN A HURRY

THE ZESTFUL AZENA:  A LEADERSHIP IN A HURRY

By Austen Akhagbeme

Saturday, December 2nd 2023 is undoubtedly,  a date with destiny. It is a day when another milestone will be added to the enormous speed and momentum that have come to characterize the historical journey of Dr Azemhe Azena to the helms of Political Affairs in Edo State.

The Azemhe Project is leadership in a hurry to change the old ways into a new paradigm full of hope and possibilities for the people of Edo State. This is why all hands must be on deck to make everyone a contributor to the event and the conversation at the Azemhe Mega Summit coming up at Auchi in December at the Auchi Polytechnic's new auditorium.

It will be an opportunity to hear and also to contribute to the driving force and appreciate the zestful mien of a budding youth, who is determined to change the state of our estate, having personally fought poverty and deprivation and won.

Dr Azemhe Azena is a man of many parts and means so much to so many people. At least in the past decade, he has fed the elderly and the widows. He has given scholarships to many young boys and girls regardless of their tribal and religious background.

He has rescued countless restive and criminally minded youths from the clutches of social vices in cities and villages. He has paid hospital bills for indigent patients and helped to rehabilitate ex-convicts who were rejected by their families and had nowhere else to go.

This he did in his strides and humane self,  light years away from when he began to nurse his gubernatorial ambition. For him, humanity comes first before ethnicity, religion and political affiliations.

This is the same man who wants to take the mantle of political leadership of Edo State,  having watched from afar,  the unmistakable role the government can play to hasten the alleviation of poverty and squalor in our land. Dr Azemhe Azena is in a hurry to bring this to pass. Let us all give him the support he deserves.
