NPFL25 MD17:Bendel Insurance Holds Heartland FC Of Owerri To A 1-1 Draw

Bendel Insurance Football Club of Benin,on Sunday evening,forced tricky Heartland FC of Owerri to a 1-1 draw as they continue with their push for safely  in the Nigeria Premier Football League(NPFL)

Substitute Austin Ogunye's 82nd minute strike helped the Benin Arsenals to share the spoils with Heartland FC at the Dan Anyiam stadium in Owerri.

Promise Anyanwu had put the host team in front in the sixth minute of the game with a header.

The Benin Arsenals are gradually gaining stability and covering their lost ground as they have not recorded any loss in their last three matches of one home win and two away   draws.

Insurance also came from behind to force a 1-1 draw at Akwa Utd with Stanley Okorom's 30th minute goal that earned them the valuable away point and moved a step out of the deep. 

Recall that Bendel Insurance FC  on the match day 15  at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium defeated Plateau United 2-1.

The Benin Arsenals will  be host to Lobi  Stars  in  the next fixture at the Samuel Ogbemudia stadium, Benin. The macht is scheduled for Saturday, December 21.

In the post match interview,Head Coach of Bendel Insurance Greg Ikhenoba said that the away point was important 
" We will shift our focus now on Lobi Stars FC. Like I always say our team is work   in progress.  We will continue to work hard until we are fully stabilized. " He said,adding that with the renewed determination and team work in the club, Insurance will get it right soon.
