Hon. Amadin Desmond Enabulele, Executive Chairman of the Edo State Sports Commission, has expressed strong confidence in the medal-winning potential of Team Edo’s cricket teams at the ongoing National Sports Festival in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

Speaking through his Media Officer, Edoko Wilson Edoko, Enabulele praised the dedication and commitment of Edo’s cricket players during their match against Delta State at the Cricket Pavilion, MKO Abiola Stadium.

"Our cricket teams—male and female—are unquestionably our major strength and strong contenders for gold medals," he stated.

Enabulele was visibly impressed by the performance of the male cricket team, showering them with accolades and reaffirming the government’s continued support.

"Cricket is one of our key strengths, and that’s why we’re here—to support them fully and ensure we clinch gold," he emphasized.

Beyond cricket, Enabulele also visited the NYSC Orientation Camp in Ikenne, venue for the weightlifting competitions, to encourage Edo athletes competing in various events.

Edo State remains committed to supporting its athletes in their pursuit of excellence and medals at the festival.
