Motorcross Bike Race: Edo Born Winifred Iwenamen Set For Guinness World Record Attempt

History is about to be made in Benin city as Edo born Winifred Iwenamen has expressed her readiness for her second attempt to break Guinness World Record in Motor cross bike race on Friday, July 18,2025.
The historical event is taking place at Evbuobanosa Motorsports Park in Evbuobanosa village,near Abudu, Benin.
The Esan lady motorcross rider will be riding for twelve (12hrs) on Friday beginning from 6:30 am to 6:30 pm in her quest to bring honour to Edo and Nigeria and as well place Edo on the global map in motorbike race.
WinIfred Iwenamen is attempting to record of Walid Shabsogh of Jordan who covered a distance of 550.198 km within 12hrs to keep the world record in May 11,2024.
Iwenamen made her first attempt in the Greatest Distance on Motorcross in May this year at the same Evbuobanosa Motorsports track but encountered some unpleasant disappointment which made record unavailable to the umpire.
In a chat with the Nigerians Observer sports, Winifred Iwenamen said she is ready for the attempt again. " I did it in May this year without any accident after completing the task but only for some personnel to sabotage my efforts. To ride for 12hrs is not a child's game that one person just wasted the effort." She
lamented that her 12 hours of hard work was ruined by the videographer in charge of the media.
She expressed confidence in her ability to break Walid Shabsogh's record on Friday.
