‎2025 Bayelsa Preseason: Insurance FC  Journey To Final After Defeating Bayelsa Utd U-20 3-0

‎Bendel Insurance Football Club on Friday continued with their impressive run in the 2025 Bayelsa Preseason Football Tournament as they thrashed Bayelsa Utd U-20 team 3-0 and cruised to the finals of the tournament.
‎
‎Isaac Omijie was on target again as he 
‎opened scoring for the Benin Arsenals in the 15th minute of play at the Samson Siasia stadium. It was his third goal in the three matches played so far in the tournament.
‎
‎The hosts Bayelsa Utd U-20 team however posed some threats and resistance as they managed to prevent the rampaging Insurance side from increasing the goals tally before half time whistle.
‎
‎Shortly after the resumption of the second half,the head coach of Bendel Insurance Greg Ikhenoba made tactical switch and substitutions. The changes paid off almost immediately as Adewale Adebayo's fine cross from the right flank was jabbed into the net to doubled the lead for Insurance FC in the 64th minute 
‎
‎In the 71st minute,substitute Elmer Arunta completed the route with his first touch as he took advantage of a spilled ball from the groaping hands of Bayelsa goalkeeper and calmly slotted it in to make 3-0 in favour of Bendel Insurance FC.
‎
‎The Benin Arsenals have remained consistent with their impressive performances. They have played three matches so far, winning all and scoring 9 goals without conceding any goal.
‎
‎The coach Greg Ikhenoba led Insurance FC now have Warri Wolves FC to contend with in the final match scheduled for Saturday afternoon. Kickoff time is 4pm.
‎
‎Warri Wolves defeated Bayelsa Utd main team 2-0 in the second semifinals clash to qualify for the final match.
‎
‎On the road to the finals,Insurance FC  began the preseason football tournament on Monday with 2-0 victory over hosts Bayelsa Utd and brushed aside Kun Khalifat FC 4-0 to lead group B and went ahead to thrash Bayelsa Utd U-20 3-0 in the semifinals clash to qualify for the finals.
‎
‎Recall that the Benin Arsenals also reached the finals of the tournament in 2024 and narrowly lost to Bayelsa Utd in a shootout after 1-1 draw at the end of the regulation period .
