Dr. Alenkhe To Receive Eminent Peace Ambassador Award In Benin

The Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo State Council, Dr. Festus Alenkhe, is to be honoured with the Eminent Peace Ambassador Award by the International Association of World Peace Advocates.
The award ceremony will hold on Thursday, October 2, 2025, at the Bishop Kelly Pastoral Centre, Airport Road, Benin City, as part of activities marking the 2025 United Nations International Day of Non-Violence.
In a letter which conveyed the message to Alenkhe, Ambassador Dr. Amos Areloegbe, the South-South Coordinator of the association, said the choice of Edo State NUJ Chairman is in recognition of the NUJ’s leadership role in promoting peace and non-violence in the state.
According to him, the World Peace President, His Excellency Per Stafsen, will personally present the award plaque to Alenkhe at the event scheduled for 11:00 a.m.
Journalists in Edo State are by this notice requested to accompany the NUJ Chairman to receive the award.
A vehicle will be stationed at the NUJ Press Centre to convey guests to the event at 10.30am.
