Unveiling Edo Talent Hunt: Platform Is Designed To Discover The Rich Cultural Heritage-- Ebagua



...As Stakeholders Agree To Support Young Innovative, Creativity

Stakeholders in entertainment, cinema and music industry have gathered at St. Victor Uwaifo Creative hub to promote young talented youths that would represent Edo state, South- South and Nigeria in further competition.

Stating the essence of the event, the founder of the Edo Talent Hunt, Mrs. Esther Edokpayi Ebagua, said the platform is designed to discover, develop and showcase the rich cultural heritage and immense talent of our own people in the South -South and Nigeria, in general.

Egbaga asserted that, through the platform the aims is to discover and nurture emerging talents in various artistic discipline, promote cultural preservation and community empowerment and provide a stage for talented individuals to showcase their skills.


" We are putting this project together to hunt for, discover and showcase raw talents from the length and breadth of Edo state. Every local government in the state shall be involved, and in no distant time.

" The unknown talents today in this region will become the celebrities of tomorrow and we need the help and collaboration of everyone to make this happen. As the founder of this initiative. I am thrilled to share this journey with all of you.

" Edo Talent Hunt is more than just an event; it is a movement to hunt, discover, develop and celebrate the talent, creativity, artistry and diversity that define our states in the South -South," she explained.

She equally appealed to the governor of Edo state, Senator Monday Okpebholo and the Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II for their tireless efforts to lead Edo people and make the state a better place.



In her speech, Chairman of the Organising committee, Edo Talent Hunt, Adesuwa Lato, called on sponsorship and collaboration to make the event a success.

" We urge Edo state government, individuals, corporate bodies, and organisations in Edo state to open their doors to us and partner with us. 

"Your support would not only elevate this initiative, but also contribute significantly to the preservation and promotion of our cultural identity," she stated.

Adesuwa said sale of form is 10,000, while the winner goes home with a Toyota Camry 2022 Model, 3 million Naira cash prize, and a 5-year recording label deal.

Also, the Grand Prize for winners; 2nd runner-up - 1Million Naira, while 1st runner up -2 Million Naira.

She thanked the support of their partners, volunteers without whom wouldn't be complete.


More so, in their Goodwill messages, Engr. Gabriel Iduseri, a businessman thanked the founder of Edo Talent Hunt for initiating the project and said the idea would go a long way of reducing the high unemployment rate that is ravaging the state and country.

The former South -South youths leader of the APC promised to be part of the project, promote and contribute his quota for the realisation of the talent hunt. 

He appealed to every investors, business owners and governments to look in this direction and support the talent hunt to ensure our youths are empower and encourage and taking out of the streets.

For Kelly Okungbowa, AKA Abo Stone, said when the youths are engaged it would reduce the rate of cultism, unemployment and other forms of social vices through this initiative.

The National President of Build for Youths, said they are all here in their various capacity to support the talents hunt. He said the Edo state government and his family will support and promote the project with 110% interest.

It would be recalled that, this is a South -South project for Nigeria and for the 18 local government area in Edo state. The purpose of the occasion is to discover more entertainers in the South -South and Nigeria.

The grand finale of the project is billed to hold January 14, 2025.
