BRC1933 President Osayi Rallies Club’s Contingent Ahead Of South-South Veterans Table Tennis Championship
As the South-South Veterans Club Table Tennis Championship begins in Yenagoa, the Bayelsa State capital, the President of Benin Recreation Club (BRC1933), Mr. Osayi Courage Osamuyi, has charged the club’s table tennis contingent to remain focused and pursue victory with unwavering determination.
In a statement issued through the Public Relations Officer of BRC1933, Mr. Edoko Wilson Edoko, Mr. Osayi expressed strong confidence in the veteran players representing the club. He noted that the team has consistently demonstrated discipline, unity, and competitive excellence—qualities he believes will propel them to an outstanding performance at the tournament.
Mr. Osayi added: “Our veterans have always represented the club with pride and integrity. I have no doubt that this championship will be another opportunity to showcase the strength and resilience of BRC. I urge our players to remain focused, give their best, and uphold the spirit of sportsmanship that our club is known for.”
He further encouraged the team to see the competition not just as a contest, but as a platform to deepen camaraderie, promote the club’s legacy, and inspire younger players within the BRC community.
Speaking on the team’s readiness, the Captain of the section, Barr. U. L. Osa-Uwagie, affirmed that the players were in high spirits and prepared to deliver exceptional results. “I’m informed that all is going well. They had a comfortable night rest and woke up energized and in very high spirit this morning,” he said.
He continued: “The President of BRC, Mr. Courage Osayi, spoke with them on a video call this morning—charging, encouraging, and boosting their morale. I’ve also spoken with all of them, and they remain highly motivated. We are hopeful that their best will be sufficient for a successful and superlative outing.”
He concluded with a call for support: “Let’s pray for them to deliver what they have been training for, successfully, as we continue to encourage and boost their morale.”
BRC1933 veteran table tennis players—including the immediate past Captain of the section, Mr. Kizituu Osayawe; the Vice Captain, Mr. Austin Ogbonwan; Mr. I.
