Dagomo Foundation Honours Staff, Gives Cash Prizes To Winners

...As Omoigui Advises Elderly People To Engaged On Regular Excerise

In continuation of giving free medical check up to indigenes,  elderly and young people in constain street, Marina Way, New Benin area, the two days ceremony had finally come to an end.

The ground finale which comprised of various sports games with bodily exercises for ageing and youths. The two days event proceed on the 19, and end 24, of November, 2025.

Speaking on what motivated them to continue with what Dagomo Foundation Nigeria limited had been doing for years, the Chairman of the Foundation, Mrs Ifeuko Okauru Omoigui, MFR, called for  support of the elderly People.

The former Executive Chairman of Federal Inland Revenue said regular exercise makes people to be healthy.

She said," I want to thank all the participants for listening and partaking in what we are doing. For us, we are doing our best as much as we can. We encourage everybody else that if they can do it in their various area to support the elderly.

" Both intergenerational exchanges. Really, the modern youths do not understand the elderly and the elderly don't understand the youths. We need to interact with each other and do it in a way that is funny.

" You can also collaborate with us as well, and is just a message that we are trying to pass on to the next generation. We are also telling everyone that participated to realise that, when you have fun, you are healthier, when you relax, you are healthier, when you do things that you love, you are healthier. When you frown and complaint and allow your environment to affect you. It affects your health.

" And it is important that you have to be what you are. No matter how your environment look like. Learn to appreciate what you have," she assured.

She said what motivated her and her siblings to continue with it after their parents death is because of the efforts their parents had put in the Foundation. She said the Foundation is a legacy that her parents left behind and they will do everything possible to sustain it.

Omoigui stated that, such things should start small and it would go a long way to impact the lives of the less privileged ones and the downtrodden.

She thanked the participants for coming and thank her late parents Surveyor Daniel Aiyanyo Omoigui and Barrister (Mrs.) Grace Onaiwu Omoigui for establishing the Dagomo Foundation Nigeria limited.

She prayed that everything they learn should be useful to them at home.

Also, former Chairman National Youth Council, Edo state, Comrade Aliu Akokhia, encouraged the elders to share love with one another and ensure they connect with people with like mind.

Akokhia who is presently the Executive Director Sustainable Health Initiative, advised elders to always engaged in constant excerise.

He Harped on the importance of excerise that it reduces stress, it makes tension to come down, it promotes healthy growth, it improves mental well-being, it strengthens immune system and it is good for health.



Akokhia added that, the foundation has done a good thing by bringing them together for ageing sports activities and social connections.

A medical doctor, Dr. Faith Edebor also advised the partakers especially the elderly people not to worry about anything and ensure they make themselves available for medical check up.

She thanked Dagomo Foundation Nigeria limited sponsors for taking out time every year to care for the elderly people and youths in the community.


Moreover, during the event Andy Okosun, a certified physical exercise engaged the participants with practical and experience body work exercise for 30 minutes at the occasion.

At the end of the event, cash prizes were given to those who involved in various sports games during the two days occasion.


The exercise games which includes; Dance, Chess, Ayo, Draft, Ludo, Table Tennis, Football and other sports games.

One of the female partake, Mrs.  Vivian Okpadike, thanked Dagomo Foundation Nigeria limited for creating the opportunity for her to learn more things concerning her health.

She said the excerise she engaged in make her to regain strength and get fit.

Also, Ogonna Josiah, expressed his appreciation to the founder of the foundation for making it possible for them to know their health status.

In each of the games, the 1st position got 10,000, 2nd runner-up, 5000 and 3rd runner-up got 2500. 

In her closing remarks, Juliet Ijeoma commended the participants particularly the elderly people for turning out for the event.


She urged them to put use what they have learnt during the two days occasion which took place on 19th and 24th of November 2025.

In addition, two staff of Dagomo Foundation Nigeria limited were honoured for distinguishing themselves and remained dedicated to their duties.
