Edo Commissioner,Afegbua  Eagers To Promote Interest Of Technology-Inclined Visually Impaired Persons

The Edo State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Prince Kassim Afegbua, has declared to the Association of Technology-Inclined Visually Impaired Persons of Nigeria, that his Ministry’s open-door policy promotes active engagement and interaction with the public.

Prince Afegbua gave the assurance while receiving executives of the Association of Technology-Inclined Visually Impaired Persons of Nigeria, who paid a courtesy visit to his office at the Ministry’s premises in Benin City.

The Commissioner urged the Association to submit names and curriculum vitae of its members to the Ministry, to enable authorities consider them for forthcoming employment opportunities. He assured the Association that its concerns would be communicated to relevant government agencies for further necessary action. He affirmed that their request was legitimate and underscored Sen. Monday Okpebholo’s unwavering commitment to the welfare of Edo State citizens.

In response, the Association’s Chairman, David Iwuala, appealed for the Commissioner’s assistance in securing employment opportunities for qualified members. He asserted that such support would encourage and uplift the visually impaired community and voiced confidence in the Commissioner’s disposition to positively influence their cause.

Also present at the visit were the permanent Secretary, MIS Dr. Desmond Agbama and other directors of the ministry
