The Accord party aspirant, Mr. Godwin  Edemakhionta who is vying for election to represent Orhionmwon South in the Edo State House of Assembly have promised to deliver the dividends of democracy if elected to serve his people.

Speaking at the NUJ Press Center Benin City  to this journalists immediately he  purchased his nomination and interest form the Accord aspirant said that he is very prepared for the race.
   
He urged all his supporters to come out enmass and vote for him to represent the constituency at the house he added according to him he is ready to provide the dividends of democracy to the people by making laws that will have direct impact on the people of his constituency and that is what Accord party stands for.

Edemakhionta, said for many years, Orhionmwon South had been backward in terms of developments, and vowed that if given the ticket and elected he will bring rapid advancement and development to his constituency.


He thanked and commended the party leaders and members of Accord party for given him the opportunity to contest for the race.

Philanthropist Offers Scholarship To Secondary School Students In Ekiti  By Editor  A philanthropist, Dr Oluwadare Owolabi, has offered scholarships for students across some secondary schools in Ekiti State. The scholarships of N100,000 each were offered to the outstanding students in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Agricultural Science, Economics and Mathematics subjects across three schools. Gunmen Abducts 18 Passengers  In Benin-Auchi Highway, 16 Rescued Iduozee Efe Paul, Benin  Wonder they say shall not cease, as at least 18 passengers travelling on the Benin-Auchi highway in Edo State were abducted by gunmen on Friday, 5th 2025. The victims were said to be heading to Abuja in a newly launched Edo Line bus when armed men stopped the vehicle and forced them into the bush. Police operatives later arrived at the scene after the attack. A video from the incident, which has gone viral on social media, showed vehicles lined up on both sides of the highway as panic spread among commuters. Confirming the incident on Saturday, Edo State police spokesperson, Moses Iyamu, said 16 of the kidnapped passengers had been rescued. “Sixteen of these passengers have been rescued safely while the rescue operation by Edo State Police in synergy with vigilantes and hunters continues,” Iyamu said.
