RENL Strengthens Safety and Integrity Culture at 2026 HSE/Ethics Day in
Waterside Site, Ogun State, August 13, 2026 — Rubber Estates Nigeria Limited (RENL) has renewed its commitment to fostering a strong culture of safety, integrity and responsible workplace conduct during the company’s 2026 Health, Safety, Environment and Ethics (HSE/Ethics) Day celebration held at its Waterside Site in Ogun State.

The celebration, themed “Safety First, Integrity Always,” provided an opportunity for employees and management representatives to reflect on the importance of personal responsibility, ethical behaviour and proactive safety practices in sustaining a healthy and productive work environment.

The Managing Director of RENL, Olivier Odoukou, was represented at the Waterside Site by the company’s Business Performance Manager, Charles Tuckson, who conveyed the Managing Director’s message to employees and participants.

In the message, Odoukou emphasized that safety must remain a daily commitment rather than an activity limited to compliance with established procedures.

He reminded employees that every task, whether routine or complex, carries a responsibility to protect lives and prevent incidents.

The Managing Director also highlighted RENL’s continued investment in employee training, personal protective equipment, risk assessment and safe work practices, stressing that production objectives must never compromise the health and wellbeing of employees.

He further explained that the company’s safety responsibility extends beyond the workplace to employees’ dependents, families and neighboring communities. Employees were therefore encouraged to consider the wider impact of their actions and maintain safe practices both within and outside the workplace.

The programme featured a range of presentations and interactive discussions designed to deepen employees’ understanding of HSE and ethical responsibilities.

Presentations on gender equality, inclusion and respect further enriched the programme, drawing attention to the importance of equal opportunities, mutual respect and a workplace free from discrimination, harassment and other forms of unacceptable conduct.

The celebration also encouraged employees to take ownership of safety, uphold integrity in their daily decisions and speak up whenever they identify practices that could endanger people, the environment or the reputation of the company.

The Waterside celebration reaffirmed RENL’s determination to embed safety, integrity, accountability and inclusion into its workplace culture and everyday operations.
