 Court Adjourns Blessing CEO’s Trial To July 20 Over Alleged N36 Million Fraud By Editor  The trial of social media influencer and relationship therapist, Okoro Blessing Nkiruka, popularly known as Blessing CEO, over an alleged N36 million fraud was on Wednesday adjourned until Monday, July 20, 2026, by the Federal High Court sitting in Ikoyi, Lagos. According to an official signed statement by the Head of Media and Publicity of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Dele Oyewale, Blessing CEO is standing trial before Justice D.I. Dipeolu on a two-count charge bordering on alleged obtaining by false pretence and alleged theft of N36 million. At the resumed proceedings, counsel to the defendant, P.I. Delta Police Apprehend Eight Over Robbery, Cultism, Recover Guns The Delta State Police Command says it has arrested eight suspected criminals during separate operations targeting armed robbery, cultism and illegal possession of firearms across the state. The police also recovered four locally made guns, four live cartridges, one expended cartridge and a dagger during the operations, which were carried out based on intelligence reports. The command’s spokesperson, SP Bright Edafe, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday, saying the arrests formed part of ongoing efforts to tackle violent crime and improve security in the state. Edafe said operatives, working with members of the Civilian Anti-Cult Group, arrested two suspected armed robbers along the Asaba-Benin Expressway after acting on credible intelligence. Court Orders Final Forfeiture Of  48 Properties Linked To Malami Valued At N212.8 Billion By Editor  The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja on Wednesday ordered the final forfeiture of about 48 properties linked to former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami. Delivering the judgement, Judge Joyce Abdulmalik granted the forfeiture application by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), holding that Mr Malami and others laying claim to the assets failed to prove that they lawfully acquired them. Before delivering the substantive judgement, the judge dismissed several applications, motions on notice and objections filed by Mr Malami, his family members and some companies claiming ownership of the properties. The judge said they all lacked merit. Edo Police Rescue  Kidnapped AAU Students, Kill One Suspect The Edo State Police Command has rescued three students of Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma, who were kidnapped by gunmen in Ekpoma, Esan West Local Government Area of Edo State. The students were abducted on Sunday, July 12, 2026, during an attack in the Ujemen G.T. Extension area of Ekpoma. One student, Peter Ekpen, a 24-year-old 300-level undergraduate, was killed during the attack. The rescued students were identified as Praise Obagbalu, 18, Favour Okoroji, 21, and Balogun Precious, 19. State Commissioner of Police, Mr Monday Agbonika, disclosed the development on Tuesday while briefing journalists at the Nigeria Police Divisional Headquarters in Ekpoma.
