Edo NUJ To Train 40 Journalists On Drug Abuse

The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Edo State Council has secured the sponsorship of an international NGO to train 40 journalists in Edo State on Drug and Substance Abuse, Drug Harm Reduction Programme and People who use Drugs.

Also, the training will give journalists more knowledge in drug and substance abuse news reports, according to the statement issued and signed
Andy Egbon, the Secretary NUJ  Edo state council, said the date is on Wednesday November 1, 2023, with various: NUJ Press Centre, No. 1 Sir Gabriel Igbinedion Way, GRA, Benin City, time 9:am prompt.

More so, all chapels are to recommend two journalists from their chapel for the training , which will feature the presentation of Certificate to participants.  

He said the names of such nominees should reach the NUJ Secretary not later than 2pm on Friday October 27, 2023. 

Egbon said," please, treat as urgent as the names of those nominated will be sent to the organisers of the training programme for documentation and other administrative matters."
