Edo Deputy Charges Security Agencies to exhibit Neutrality

Edo State Deputy Governor, Engr Godwins Marvellous Omobayo, has charged security agencies to exhibit neutrality during the forthcoming governorship election in September.

The Deputy Governor gave the charge during a courtesy visit by the Commander, 4 Mechanized Brigade, Benin, Brigadier-General Ebenezer Olusesan Oduyebo, accompanied by his senior military officers, at Osadebey Avenue, Office of the Deputy Governor. 

Omobayo affirmed his commitment to maximizing his tenure as the State number two citizen, while pledging unflinching loyalty and support for his principal, Governor Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki in providing good governance, as well as protection of lives and property.

He commended the military for its role in national security and described it (military) as a unique institution with integrity and excellence.

Omobayo expressed optimism that Edo people will support the PDP and its candidate on account of the Governor's performance in the last 7 years.

Speaking earlier, Brigadier-General Ebenezer Olusesan Oduyebo, congratulated the Deputy Governor on his appointment and assumption of office.

He stated that he came visiting the Deputy Governor to formally introduce himself and his team.

Brigadier-General Oduyebo expressed the commitment of the military in partnering with other sister security agencies in protecting lives and property, while assuring a level playing field for a free, fair and credible governorship election.
