Edo SWAN Urges Members To Fulfil Their Financial Obligations

The Edo State Chapter of Sports Writers Association (SWAN) has urged its members to fulfil their financial obligation to the the association to enable them conduct the election of the body.
The statement was made in a communique issued at the end of the Congress of the Edo State chapter of SWAN, on Wednesday, 3rd March, 2024, Benin city, Edo state.
According to the Communique Drafting Committee (CDC) Comrade Lucky Isibor(Chairman), Kingsley Abavo (Secretary) and Isaac Olamikan(Member) expressed satisfaction that its membership is growing.
The statement reads: "Congress was elated that there is harmony within the rank of its members just as it pleads for unity in the national leadership of the body.
"The Edo SWAN members at the Congress expressed satisfaction that its membership is growing in leaps and bounds daily such that the membership is substantial enough to conduct the affairs of the body judiciously as prescribed by SWAN statute.
" Tongress also noted the remarkable response to the call on members to fulfil their obligation to the body and urged those who have not fully met their financial obligation to the the association in readiness for the chapter's election to do so.
"While applauding efforts being put in place to resolve the crisis at the national level of SWAN, Congress appealed for speedy resolution of the issues at stake."
