Team Edo began Tuesday's proceedings with 2 Gold and 2 Bronze medals in Wrestling as Bright Irobekhian (72kg) and Enienibodi (60kg) beat Delta,Bayelsa and Jigawa to the top spots

Perezilgha Obaze was also outstanding in wrestling
 92kg class, clinching gold to increase the medal haul.

The heartbeat state's Para-athletics team also gave a good account of themselves with 6 Gold,2 Silver and 3 to their credit.

Faith Obazuaye's skills and abilitiy made her unstoppable in the women's singles event in para table tennis, smashing Gold for Edo state as the heartbeat state remained hopeful in other events at their finals.

Meanwhile, the Executive Director(Football Development),Edo state Sports Commission Hon Baldwin Bazuaye,MON,has commended the Main Organising Committee,MOC and the LOC of the ongoing 22nd National Sports Festival for their efforts in Organising a memorable event in Ogun state.
The Ex-international football star described the standard of Ogun Games as acceptable, emphasizing that the camping of athletes, feeding and transportation logistics have been near perfect.

He specially commended the Ogun state government and Remo Stars Proprietor Hon Kunle Soname whose infrastructure  compliments government effort.
He received that food for athletes were never in short supply despite some complaints about stooling which he said should be expected, noting human body system varies depending on the kind of food athletes are used to.

Hon Bazuaye gave the commendation at the Remo Stars stadium in Ikenne during his routine tour.

". Ogun has done well. As far as iam concerned they didn't disappoint me in anyway. The infrastructure on the ground is solid. Mini stadium scattered all over the state. Hon Kunle Soname is also a blessing to Ogun and Nigeria for building sports in the country." He said.
