Edo Airline: CRPP Regional President Vows To Take Okpebholo To Court 

...Laments About Infrastructural Amenities Ravaging State

The Regional President of Coalition of Registered Political Parties (CRPP), Dr. Samson Isibor, has condemned and lampooned on the idea initiated by the Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo for conceiving the concept to establish Air carrier otherwise called Airline in the state.

Dr. Isibor made the statement in a press release signed and issued to the journalists in Benin city,  appealed to Governor Okpebholo to stop the wasteful spendings that are not beneficial to the people of Edo State.

He vowed that if  the governor refused to stop the project that they are  ready to take him to court.
 
"The CRPP is not happy with the Edo State Governor, Monday Okpeholo Priotising some self-adulation projects that should not be immediate priority of any government that is not people oriented.

" Any projects that has no bearing for the survival of the people of Edo State, should not be executed.
"The news we heard that Governor Okpeholo is contemplating to establish Air carrier otherwise called Airline is uncalled for.

"There are hundreds of state roads including Federal roads begging for rehabilitations, especially in the rural areas where many of their roads have being cut off, many villages have no roads to bring their palm produce to the urban areas for sale. 

"Insecurity in the state is increasing daily unabated, thousands of our  youths are unemployed thereby adding to the insecurity in the State, Yet we have a governor in the state, (Governor Okpebholo)  who is  not bothered about the plight and poor conditions of life in the state. 

"There is no any agenda for the poor masses in Edo State, since Okpeholo  assume office, everybody is lamenting the critical situation in Edo State, the Governor  should tell  us what the masses have  benefited since he assume Office," he posited.

Asking the Governor to answer the following questions, Dr. Isibor asserted,"How much does it cost to acquire one airline  EG Boeing 707?
What happened to about N100b loan approval by the rubber stamp House of Assembly?


"Is it productive to establish an airlines that will cost the state over N5 trillion Naira? Can’t we use this money to revitalize all the moribund government companies that can employ more than fifty thousand youths in those establishments such as Uromi Cassavita.

" Others are; Ehor Fruit Juice Factory, Ewu Flower Mill,   Ewohimi Cassava Factory, Fertilizer company at Auchi, Bendel Brewery and many others, instead of wasting much money to acquire Arlines, Airlines are beneficial only to the rich and politicians. How many citizens of Edo State can afford to fly aircraft?

"We know that air transport fair is beyond the reach of any average Edo Citizen.Many State Governments prioritize roads constructions for good motor roads they purchase more than 100 busses for their citizens to convey them to and fro from their working places free of charge, why then is Edo State own is different?", he groaned.
