EFCC Arraigns Three For Alleged N42m Contract Fraud  By Editor  The Maiduguri Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, has arraigned Aisha Alkali Wakil, Sa’idu Tahiru Daura and Prince Lawal Shoyede before Justice Jude K. Dagat of the Borno State Federal High Court sitting in Maiduguri. The defendants were arraigned on a two -count amended charge bordering on obtaining by false pretence to the gross sum of N42,000,000.00 (Forty Two Million Naira). High Court Nullifies INEC 2027 Election Revised Timetable By Editor  The  Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has nullified the Independent National Electoral Commission Revised Timetable and Schedule of Activities for the 2027 General Election, a development expected to offer fresh hope to politicians who lost in recent party primary elections.   Justice Mohammed Garba Umar, in a landmark judgment, ruled that the timeframes imposed by INEC on political parties for the conduct of primaries, submission of candidates’ particulars, withdrawal, and replacement of candidates were inconsistent with the provisions of the Electoral Act, 2026. 2027 Poll: Rivers State APC Declares  Chinda Guber Candidate  By Editor  The All Progressives Congress has declared Kingsley Chinda as its governorship candidate for Rivers State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
