Agbebaku Suspends  3 Lawmakers For Alleged Impeachment Plot The Edo State House of Assembly suspended three members on Monday amid allegations of a plot to impeach the leadership. Speaker Rt. Hon.Blessing Sheriff Agbebaku announced the indefinite suspension during a rowdy plenary session. One of the suspended members, Hon. Bright Iyamu Orhionmwion South Constituency, was allegedly captured on CCTV performing what the speaker described as fetish sacrifices at the House of Assembly Complex last Thursday.  The relics of cola nut and other substances used in the ritual suggested ulterior motives of the plans for the impeachment, according to the speaker. It was also revealed that 14 members had appended their signatures to impeach the speaker before plenary on Monday, a move that was disrupted during plenary session. AAC Berates Obaseki Govt. For Plunging Edo People Into Poverty Iduozee Efe Paul, Benin The African Action Congress (AAC), has berated the regime of governor Godwin Obaseki for not be able to provide the dividends of democracy to Edo people. NPFL24: Bendel Insurance Defeats  Heartland FC 1-0 Iduozee Efe Paul, Benin Bendel Insurance Football Club of Benin on Saturday, April 27,2024 defeated Heartland Football Club of Owerri 1-0 in the Match Day 32 of the Nigeria Premier Football League in Benin.
